To walk on a rugged trek for more than 6 hours requires good feet. If you are not so good at trekking then it is better you opt for either longer ABC Trek or do physical training before the trek. Doing so will make your trek’s possible difficulty less by half.
Weather and Temperature
Weather and temperature are the directors of any trek’s difficulty level. If the weather is good and pleasant, the trek will be easy and less troubling and vice versa. And on treks like ABC which is a high elevation trek, you have to be sure of the weather and plan accordingly.
The weather up there in the Himalayas is very much uncertain. Bad weather can make you strive more than usual and a good one is a blessing. If you wish to be on the safe side on the trek, don’t forget to learn about the weather and temperature of the region prior to trekking.

Accommodation, Food, and Water
The accommodation, food, and water will not be a problem on the ABC Trek if you have been to the Himalayas before. The infrastructures are not developed as the lower areas and there you have to sustain with what you get. However, food and accommodation services are better than other rural treks. The tea houses will be there throughout the trek to host you with basic services. Expecting lavish services and better places to stay will make you hurt. And with that, you’ll lose all of the good vibes and energy for the trek.
On the trek, you will sleep on a comfortable but not lavish bed. Likewise, you’ll eat food items from some international and local cuisines but not everything you wish will appear on the plate. Water to drink on the trek is mostly boiled one but you can get bottled mineral water. So, not expecting so much will help you to make adjustments on the trek quite easily.
Not so fast Internet
The Internet has now become a basic necessity for humans. Everywhere they go, they want to stick with the world through the Internet. And for sure, you’ll need the Internet on the ABC trek too. Yes, you can surf the internet in almost every teahouse you step in but not at high speed. The Internet is primarily slow in the mountains and gets even slower when people like you do the same as yours. Therefore, be mentally prepared to adjust with life without the Internet for some days.

Best Times for Annapurna Base Camp Trek 6 Days
For trek like Annapurna Base Camp Trek, the stable weather that favors warm temperature, clear skies, and no harsh turnaround is needed. There are two seasons like that which are Autumn and Spring. Better known as the peak trekking season in Nepal, both seasons hosts thousands of visitors every year. Let us find out why so.
This is the finest time to do treks and other adventures in Nepal. As soon as September hits the calendar, people start to flourish to the trekking grounds of Nepal. The trend stays until the departure of the season i.e. till November. Adventurers love to see the beauty of the Annapurna region at its optimum level. The conditions of Autumn let the region turn into some dreamland. Snow-clad mountains are always on view, terrains look crystal clear after the rainfall of the Monsoon season, no clouds will be around the skies.
Moreover, temperature ranks moderate around 11 to 17 degrees in most of the areas. But, expect some coldness around the high areas like the base camp. Morning and Night hours are the coldest. Temperature-wise it’s not that cold in comparison with other seasons. You will have an amazing trekking experience in the Autumn season, you can mark our words.
Another time which is popular and indeed is the best time for trekking in Nepal is the Spring season. By the time it’s March month, the spring starts to show its colors. The process of adding vibrant colors goes until late May. It is also deemed as the season of flowers. Doesn’t that sound cool? You’ll get to do the trek amid the vegetation that is blooming. The forest turns all red during this season and you can experience that right now or never. The skies add more bluish color to the horizon.
Apart from that, the season provides a warm temperature to trek. The average temperature is around 17 degrees celsius over the season. However, the temperature can increase with the altitude gains and loss correspondingly. As said earlier, the night and morning hours are bound to be the coldest as there is no Sun around those times. Above all, it is as good as the former(Autumn) for doing the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
Off Times for Annapurna Base Camp Trek 6 Days
Then there are seasons that are taken as the off or low times for Everest Base Camp Trek. Low time does not mean completely impossible but less crowded times. Only a few numbers of adventure-seekers like to do the trek in these off times.
The main reasons for them to do the trek in these seasons are to avoid overcrowds of the peak seasons and enjoy a peaceful trekking experience. But voyage in these times will not be as easy as the former seasons. Let’s find out how.
Winter comes in Nepal at the start of December and does not leave until February. The days start to shorten, the temperature seems to lower and visibility also becomes low. If you experience any of these attributes, it’s the winter season. This is the time when higher areas get a blanket of thick snow including mountains. It’s a nicer time though to trek as you’ll be able to see the mountains and terrains lusted with snows.
But, that will not come as easy as you think. You have to cope with the extreme cold of the season to experience that beauty. The difficulties will be all around you on the trail and everywhere if heavy snowfall occurred. That is why not many people dare high treks during Winter. Don’t expect a warm temperature in this season, 9 to 12 is the average temperature on a sunny day. Otherwise, the temperature is very close to the 0-degree celsius. Will you survive this cold? If yes, then you can do the trek.
This is the lowest of all trekking seasons in Nepal. The trails start to get wet and muddy as soon as the arrival of Monsoon in June it continues to happen so until August. The skies remain crowded with the dark and rain clouds most of the time. With the rain clouds around, one cannot see the mountains and terrains as well.
The visibility to see the views is also lower as there will be not so many sunny days through Monsoon.
But, the aftermath views after rainfall are something very unique and catchy. All of the clouds of dust on the horizon get washed away by the water shower and make the view crystal clear. Would you risk all other factors just to experience that?
Probably not, but, as you know no hurdles are impossible to do. You’ll have to do some extra effort like carrying enough rain gears, watching out your every step, coping with the leeches, and many more. Doing all these, you’ll surely be bestowed with better views and peace.
