Detailed Itinerary of Langtang Trek 7 days
Day 1: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
Maximum Elevation: 1,503 meters
Travel Hours: 7-8 hrs
You will embark upon an 8-hour drive to Syabrubesi early in the morning. Syabrubesi lies at the bottom of the Langtang valley. From Kathmandu, you will slowly ascend towards the north along a valley road.
You will encounter beautiful views of rivers, terraced fields, and small villages on this route. This road takes you to the small town Dhunche. The route is slightly rough passing through high ridges.
You can also catch the glimpse of Ganesh Himal and green hills while passing the road along the bank of the Trishuli river.
Passing through Dhunche, it will make you feel as though you are heading towards deep land. There are many hives of wild bees and waterfalls on this trail.
If you are lucky enough, you could see yellow-throated martins, red pandas, or Himalayan black bears. These all are endangered species. Finally, you will reach Syabrubesi.

Day 2: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

Trek Hours: 6 hrs
On the second day of Langtang Trek 7 Days, you will begin your trek to Lama Hotel.
From here, the actual trek begins. You will begin the trek from Syabrubesi following the route of the Bhotekoshi River. Bhotekoshi lies in the deep gorge which emanates from the Tibet.
Crossing the Langtang river, you will climb through the subtropical forest. This route takes you through fertile jungles and terraced farmlands. You will pass through several rural villages.
In this place, you might have the chance to see rare and local wildlife like Red Panda. You can also spot the national bird of Nepal – Danfe.
You will follow the river ascending to oak and rhododendron forests. You can also see the langur monkeys in this area. Then you will reach to Rimche (2,400 m).

Day 3: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village
Maximum Elevation: 3,430 meters
Trek Hours: 6 hrs
In the early morning, you will trek alongside the river through lush landscapes. Then climbing upward through dense forests you head towards the next destination – Langtang village.
You can catch the occasional glimpse of Langtang Lirung through the trees. The trail leaves the forest at Ghora Tabela, now a Nepalese army post.
The valley grows wider and you will come across Chyamki village (3,230 m). Near this village resides a small settlement of herder whose livestock grazes here.
On this trail, there are many Chortens, mani walls, and prayer walls. It all represents the inscriptions and culture.
Before arriving at Langtang village, there is a monastery for your delectation.
Then continue your walk, you will reach to Langtang village. This village is the headquarter of Langtang National Park.
Here, the houses are of Tibetan styled with flat roofs and surrounded by stone walls. You can see a large settlement of Tamang people in this area.

Day 4: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa
Maximum Elevation: 3,865 meters
Trek Hours: 3 hrs
Today, the trek will be short and easy. You will climb slowly passing through the small villages towards Kyanjin Gompa.
You will pass through many small plateaus, big Mani Walls, yak pastures, and meadows. The Valley opens allowing for even better views.
On this day, you will be walking towards higher elevation. Therefore, you can trek slowly so, that your body can get proper rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
Crossing the few small streams, you will reach Kyanjin Gompa. It is one of the small and ancient monasteries.
Here, you can visit a cheese factory – a famous government-owned factory.
This factory (supported by the Swiss Government) makes Swiss cheese from yak milk. It is a small factory with a three-roomed building. In summer, it churns out the massive quantities of cheese.
Kyanjin Gompa is all surrounded by the Himalayas. From this place, you get to see the snow-covered mountains in every direction. Thus, this place looks very dramatic and beautiful.

Day 5: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel

From Kyanjin Gompa, the glaciers Langtang Lirung are sensational. Since the elevation is high, you will get a stunning view of the Himalayan ranges.
Admiring a glimpse of beautiful mountains standing with pride, you will head back to Lama Hotel. You will retrace your route towards the Langtang village.
This trail is all the way downhill. You will pass through forests following the river.
You will continue your walk passing through ethnic Tamang settlements. Here, the people follow the strictly religious and cultural practices similar to that of Tibetans.
After that, you will reach to Lama Hotel.

Day 6: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi

Trek Hours; 5 hrs
Today is the final trekking day. You will head back to your next destination which is Syabrubesi.
Heading back following the beautiful valley, walking along the river, you will reach Syabrubesi. This is roughly 5 hours of walk. Mostly, this trail goes downhill through lush green hills and vegetation.
Encountering the amazing landscapes, crossing the Bhote Koshi river, you will arrive at Syabrubesi.

Day 7: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu
Maximum Elevation: 1,420 meters
Trek Hours: 7-9 hrs
After an enjoyable trek, you will drive to Kathmandu from Syabrubesi. The drive will begin from the early morning.
You will get the scenic views of the Trishuli river heading towards the south of the hills.
Along the way, you will see the terraced fields and hopefully a final glimpse of snow-capped mountains.
Finally, you will arrive at Kathmandu of 7-9 hours of drive.
The difficulty of Langtang Trek 7 Days
Langtang trek is a moderate trek. The Langtang trekking trail is a range of uphill and downhill routes with some steep parts. The difficulty level depends on the topography of the route and the season in which you choose to trek.
Within a period of 7 days, where you have to walk continuously with gradually increasing altitudes. There is less time for acclimatization and proper rest.

September – October
