With many rivers and their thrilling rapids and peaceful beaches, Nepal is slowly becoming a favorite adventure spot. The rivers provide the best rafting experiences for adventure-seekers all over the world. Bhotekoshi is considered one of the best white water rafting trips in the world.

Bhotekoshi is the steepest river that originates from the Tibetan plateaus and enters Nepal through deep gorges. The rugged terrain of the river gives an exciting edge to rafting that requires full commitment. It is best suited for those with previous rafting experience due to the intense nature of the trip.

The drive to the put-in point (Lamasangu dam) is about 3 hours from Kathmandu. It is a highlight in itself with the splendid views of snow-capped Langtang and Dorje Lakpa. As the trip is very engaging, the sights along the river cannot be enjoyed as much once the rafting starts.

The steep river with its technical rapids is challenging even for the most experienced. Class III rapids are encountered first followed by class IV and V rapids later on. The trip is an adventure every moment as the river flows through a labyrinth of canyons.

The scenic drive to Lamasangu through spectacular villages is breathtaking with mountains views. The emerald fields and terraced hills, waterfalls and canyons are a great start to the trip. The river is attractive for canoeing, kayaking, and bungee jumping. The bungee jumping site about 160m above the wild river provides the longest free fall in the world. The thrill of rafting, bungee jumping and the calm beaches make an unforgettable experience.
