The Upper Mustang jeep tour is quite interesting for visitors who want to explore various features of the Upper Mustang territory within a limited time.

Upper Mustang in Nepal was one of the remote and closed visitor areas until 1992. The majority area represents at least 2/3 of the Mustang district and is still isolated from the outer world.

The upper Mustang jeep tour allows you to explore these exceptional places without walking for miles and miles. The beauty of a private jeep is that you can just stop anywhere and go around that site for a moment and click pictures on that area.

Among many other things are unique culture, Rock cliffs, monasteries, hidden fortresses, ancient palaces, and chortens. The Mustang Jeep tour package represents an ultimate adventure and exploration of beautiful scenes. Far-flung beauty spots and dramatic countryside views are as exciting as it gets, of course.

To begin with, the Upper Mustang Jeep Tour involves a drive to Tatopani from Kathmandu through Beni. Afterward, we go by jeep from Tatopani to Lo Manthang. On our way to Lo Manthang, we pass by Muktinath. This pilgrimage site gives some beautiful glimpses of the Annapurna range. Muktinath temple is the Temple of the Lord Vishnu, located in the most breathtaking site and with 108 waterspouts. In addition to that, the shrine lies close to another monastery. Hundreds of people pilgrimage to the temple every year, including Hindus and Buddhists.

Upper Mustang Jeep Tour continues to take the road from Muktinath to Upper Mustang (Lo Manthang). In our luxury ride, we go through Barron Gorge, dry areas, lovely cliffs, and different high passes heading to Lo Manthang. Moreover, the route leads travelers through well-known points such as Kagbeni, Kaligandaki Gorge, and Ghami. In the background, you will see the stunning views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna massif.

The endpoint of the Upper Mustang jeep tour is Lo Manthang, the capital of the Upper Mustang region of Nepal. This place has much to do with its ancient history, culture, and traditions. Lo Mantang still has a four-story palace that houses the king and his queen.

Travelers find this trip captivating since it involves traveling via exquisite mud houses, green terrains, and deep valleys. This package will provide visitors with a tour around the best parts of Mustang, like Tatopani and Ghami.

Each time you visit Mustang, it feels different and new. Visitors can discover marvelous places like Kagbeni and Lo Manthang, which makes it entertaining.

An Upper Mustang jeep tour is possible all year round; however, better sights are attained, especially in the spring and autumn. Some of the climate and weather conditions you will experience in your upper Mustang jeep tour are as follows.

Spring season (March, April, May)

This season, Upper Mustang is one of the finest trekking spots in Nepal. Days can be expected to be around 15 to 21 °C. There will be good touring weather, not too cold and warm. You will definitely be surprised by the spectacular Tibetan culture, amazing landscape, archeology, and Mustang topography.

Summer season (June, July, August)

In summer, generally, it is hot. The days and nights are warmer than usual because of the year. The temperature is approximately from 18 to 28°C, and during the nighttime, it varies from –2 to 0°C.

Throughout Nepal, this is a wet season, but Upper Mustang is really the exception, as travelers encounter no rain and barren terrain. The lands are located in the rain-shadow zone of the Annapurna area.

Autumn season (September, October, November)

The season is also good for treks and tours to the Nepal Himalayas. While in autumn, you will come across marvelous viewpoints across Upper Mustang. Winter season (December, January, February)

Temperatures are between 0 to 5°C during the day and -25 to -20°C at night in the Upper Mustang. Even the locals move to lower regions in these months because it snows so heavily. During these months, trekkers will have problems while carrying on with trekking and traveling in the Upper Mustang. Anyone wishing to see Mustang’s majestic beauty may travel during winter but will be met with cold and occasional snowfall.
