Leaving Namche behind, you will follow the relatively flat trail above the Dudh Koshi River before descending to Phunka Tenga. Next, a forested trail awaits. Experience the diverse terrain, the awe-inspiring views of the icy giants that surround you throughout today’s trek to Tengboche.

In Tengboche, you can visit the ancient Tengboche Monastery, the largest and most significant monastery of the Khubmu region. You can also observe the resident monks and participate in evening prayers as you soak in the spiritual ambiance.

Day 6

After an immersive cultural and spiritual experience in Tengboche, it’s time to head to a lower altitude. Retracing your steps through the diverse terrain, you will trek toward Namche Bazaar. Enjoy the descent as you soak in the incredible mountain vistas.

Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, you can simply relax after your trek to Tengboche. Alternatively, you can head back to the cafes and restaurants and sample the local produce.

Day 7

Trek back to Lukla

Today is your final trekking day in the Everest region. You will leave the vibrant Namche Bazaar behind as you trail along the pine and rhododendron forests.
