Jiri to Everest Base camp trekking is one of the few chances we get to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay followed the trail for the historic first ascent of Mount Everest which is popular even now. The trek challenges the physical and mental determination and rewards with a cherished memory of adventure.

The Jiri to Everest base camp trekking route is designed to aid in acclimatization and rest in the strenuous trek. The trail passes through lush forests, greeneries, glacial rivers, and traditional villages. The 22-day long trip reaches a maximum elevation of 5545 meters at Kalapathar.

The challenging trek provides relief with the prayer flags, stupas, chortens and Mani walls along the trail. The traditional Sherpa villages entertain us with their unique cultures and warm hospitality. The various stupas, Gompas, and monasteries make the trek a serene, religious experience.

We see diverse flora and fauna in the different terrains protected by the National Park. We enjoy the magnificent views of the Himalayan giants along the trail. Mount Everest, Nuptse, Thamserku, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Mt. Kwangde are some of the many glorious peaks we spot in the trek.

The trip begins with a scenic drive to Jiri in the eastern part of the country from where we begin our trek. We explore the biodiversity of Sagarmatha National park as we enjoy the landscape. We reach our destination, Everest base camp and return to Kathmandu to end our trip. The trek to the lap of Mount Everest is a truly mesmerizing and unforgettable experience.

If you have less time and want to reach to Everest base camp or see its beauty, Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour is a perfect fit for you.
